About the event

Every August, the Earth passes through the debris trail of Comet Swift-Tuttle — and the Eastern Sierra Nevada sits beneath some of the darkest skies in North America to witness it.

Space Jams Under the Perseids brings together two of Milky Way Land Company's signature offerings for one night in Aspendell: a guided dark sky lecture from former NASA and Caltech astrophysicist Dr. Tony Phillips, founder of Spaceweather.com, as the Perseid meteor shower reaches its annual peak, with live music from Sierra Sky Studios performed under the open sky.

Hosted in collaboration with Cardinal Village Resort, this evening is designed for anyone who has ever looked up and wanted to understand what they were seeing, and anyone who has ever wanted to hear music played somewhere truly wild.
